This is my first highlight of my last Christmas and New Year holiday at my ancestor land, North Sumatra. I went to this place called Taman Simalem Resort ~ Pearl of Lake Toba. It lies in Kabupaten Karo area. It can be reached around 2 hours from the capital city, Medan and around the same hour from Pematang Siantar. The place is very scenic and greeny. You can go to the top at the tip of the hill and stare far away to the Lake Toba and the islands that encompass it.
If you plan to go to North Sumatra, I highly recommend you to visit Taman Simalem Resort.
